Canis and his sister Rem were two original characters I developed for the game, but they ended up not making the cut. They were evil shapeshifters that could transform from a human to a wolf, Tolkien alludes to beings like these in the books.

Canis, is a strong fighter but not too smart, Rem is the brains in the family.  For their beast forms I kept elements like their hair and jewelry. I also wanted Rem's beast form to appear more intelligent than Canis.
